My restoration (to date !)
Braking system
Once I had the basics, I tried to fill the brake system and see
if I could roll/run the car up and down the road. However it appeared that the
brake master cylinder had a large hole somewhere - the brake fluid going in at
the top and coming back out by the servo unit. I considered a rebuild kit, but
reasoned that seeing as this was what actually stopped the car, a new master
cylinder would be the wisest move. (Especially as fibre glass doesn't offer the
best resistance to an impact) A bit of judicial Bundy pipe bending
ensued, but at least the brake fluid/paint stripper stayed where it was
supposed to !
